The 26 bones of the foot are separated into the three main sections of the foot: tarsal bones( navicular, calcaneus, talus, cuboid, medial cuneiform, middle cuneiform, lateral cuneiform) , metatarsal bones ( one for each toe ), phalangeal bones ( 3 for each toe: proximal, medium and distal) .
